A Book at Bedtime
I’ve been hanging round the blogs for a few months now and noticed that many of my fellow scribblers are actually published authors. Well done! I imagine tens of thousands more have an unfinished novella in their bottom drawer.
And why not?
So, in a moment of inactivity, I thought to myself, why not indeed? I must have a book inside me fighting to get out, a story that demands to be told.
After considerable research in airport bookstores and Wal-Mart’s 95c. library, I began to get the plot (sic). Impressed by titles such as Moon and Bill’s “Ruthless Tycoon’s Innocent wife” and “Playboy Boss, live-in Mistress”, bettered only by BonkStrand’s “The Seduction of Cupid Stuntz” and “Blizzard of Lust.” I have decided on my subject matter and laid the ground work for a book destined to become my first international blockbuster.
I shall design the cover myself, but I’ll leave the choice of colour to a bloke I know who paints ice cream vans.
Mistress of Lust.
Synopsis.
Beautiful 19 year old Candy Eros finds herself without funds and ejected from her Swiss finishing school after her parent’s mysterious death on a Provençe corniche. She meets Hugh G. Reçion, a Spanish/Welsh racing driver and bullfighter. They instantly fall in love. His father, powerful businessman, drug baron and playboy Carlos Grande Reçion had met Hugh’s mother, Lady Copula Rhys-Slutt, while practicing sex education at Bangor University.
Hugh and Candy’s story take us to the steamy, sensual cesspools of Sotogrande’s swinging society where they experience the strange and wicked world of “échangisme” with handsome Cockney wind surfing instructor Ruff Trayde and his exotic, sloe-eyed mulatto consort, former Roedean Lacrosse captain Shagada N’Bonko-Tootlootley.
Totally depraved and in search of even more forbidden pleasures, they leave for North Africa’s dens of drugs and decadence and then, on to Bangkok, where Candy starts to question her relationship with Hugh and his parents. Carlos is now married to page three model Hedona Blythe-Scoggins. They have followed the young couple across three continents encouraging and occasionally joining them in their debauched world of unbridled orgiastic sex. A world where everything, absolutely everything, goes.
At the moment, I’m looking for a publisher and would appreciate all the help I can get. The book isn’t written yet, but if you think it has a future, let me know. I can knock out two or three a week.

Sounds like a winner with movie rights asking at the first printing. Sounds almost autobiographic; n’est pas?

Graham, based on friends and neighbours I suspect. Personally I think it is a winner

You have found your genre. Knock up the first few chapters with a scintillating synopsis and send it to Bonkstrand. Nice little earner.

Just read your ’synopsis’ and laughed out loud. Get writing - I’ll be the first to buy a copy ;o)
